Kraamzorg at Mitera & Co.

By Meida van Baal , doula and maternity nurse

I am so excited to add a new service to my business. As of February 2019, I am going to be self-employed in the kraamzorg/maternity care to ensure that my clients get the one-on-one care they want. This means that Mitera & Co. will be offering doula services and kraamzorg. Couples can choose one of the services, or both.

The benefits of choosing an independent maternity nurse is that you are guaranteed one nurse from beginning to the end of the care. The intake that is usually done at 30 weeks will also be done by me. For the English community, it can be comforting to have a native English speaking nurse explain how the healthcare system in the Netherlands works, give tips and tricks to care for a newborn, and listen and help mothers process their labor and delivery experience.

If you are interested in having a doula, contact me for a free introductory meeting to learn more about what I can do for you. To apply for kraamzorg, you can apply directly on the Kraamzorg 1 op 1 site and look for me on their listing. Kraamzorg 1 op 1 handles the billing for many self-employed nurse. The site is at the moment only in Dutch, so if you do not read Dutch, please feel free to contact me to help you.
